Flip the City Fest is a community initiative powered by HOPE Inc. (Helping Others with Purpose and Education), dedicated to uplifting underserved families through purpose-driven events, education, and resource distribution.What We Just Did:In July 2025, we hosted our first-ever Flip the City: Back to School Festival in Durham, NC, and made a lasting impact:
• 400+ families and children served
• 4,500+ school supplies and hygiene items distributed
• 25+ local vendors and community partners involved
• Free food, haircuts, hairstyles, games, performances, and live music
• Featured on CBS News for our community service and outreachThanks to our generous donors, sponsors, and volunteers, this event was completely free for the community — every child received support heading into the new school year with confidence and dignity
What’s Coming Next:This fall, we’re expanding our efforts with Flip the City: Feed the Family Fest in Atlanta, GA.This event will focus specifically on serving the homeless and housing-insecure community by:
• Distributing warm meals and hygiene kits
• Providing free services such as haircuts and clothing essentials
• Partnering with local shelters and resource providers
• Creating a safe, welcoming space for people to be seen, supported, and cared for
